Sir Leslie Wilson District

Sir Leslie Wilson District is a grouping of six active Scout Groups in the North Eastern fringe of Brisbane City consisting of approximately 400 youth, 75 adult leaders and 50 adult and youth helpers. Scouting is the largest youth organisation in the world providing practical outdoor skills and leadership training for young people from 6 to 25 years old. The District structure exists to support groups and leaders and provide larger scale camps and activities for all groups in the district.

Scout Districts no longer have formally defined boundaries; however, the general area of Sir Leslie Wilson Scout District is shown in the map below. The District is generally bounded by Enoggera Barracks and D’Aguilar range on the south, Trouts Road and Old Northern Road on the east, The South Pine River on the north and Brisbane State Forest in the west. The locations of the six current scout groups are marked with the den icon. The District also has Baden Powell Park located within its boundaries at Samford. This is marked with the tent icon.
